K-pop has recently experienced an exponential growth in popularity, with increasing efforts to reach out to international communities. In conjunction with this effort, KPOPCON seeks to touch an unprecedented region -- to celebrate and discover the exciting, continuously evolving Korean entertainment world in a social and academic setting.

This convention aims to bring together individuals, especially college students, from across the nation in the name of K-pop appreciation. At this event, KPOPCON hopes to foster meaningful relationships between fans, educate the K-pop community, and positively impact fan identity. We will provide a fun, welcoming, and dynamic setting in which fans can share their thoughts and learn from each other. Through a variety of outlets such as discussion forums on issues pertaining to K-pop, interactive dance workshops, and a panel on creating one’s own K-pop campus organization, we will empower students like ourselves to continue to support and spread Korean pop culture.
